“The Yellowhammer Film Fest and The Final Trojan Minute” – July 23rd, 2021

As Host Marissa Lacey reports, Troy University is cosponsoring the first Yellowhammer Film Fest, inviting high school and college students to create and watch films in a virtual celebration.
And, in the final installment of The Trojan Minute, Troy University’s Kate Price-Howard, Assistant Professor of Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management, discusses how the COVID-19 pandemic affected theme parks and other resorts.

“Pioneer Museum” – TPR’s In Focus – July 22, 2021

The Pioneer Museum of Alabama, formerly the Pike Pioneer Museum, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Located on Hwy. 231 N in Troy, it houses some 20,000 artifacts. Barbara Tatom, Museum Director, sat down with Carolyn Hutcheson, In Focus host, to talk about the notable museums within the complex that reflect Native American and early pioneer life in southeast Alabama.

“NATO Allies” – TPR’S In Focus – July 21, 2021

“‘America’s Original Sin’ and The Trojan Minute” – July 16th, 2021

“America’s Original Sin” is Willie Little’s new art exhibit tackling the subject of slavery in the United States and issues of social justice. And as Host Marissa Lacey reports, it is currently on display at Troy University’s Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery.
And, in this week’s Trojan Minute, we hear from Govind Menon, who studies intense jets of radiation and particles that form in supermassive black holes.
