Retired Birmingham Police Captain T.K. Thorne talked with In Focus host Carolyn Hutcheson in October 2021 about her research and documentation of early 1960s Civil Rights incidents in Alabama.  The stories have become legendary, yet the facts of the incidents were captured by eyewitnesses, as documented in her book, “Behind the Magic Curtain, Secrets, Spies, and Unsung White Allies of Birmingham’s Civil Rights Days.”  This is a re-broadcast of the 2021 program and is part of The Storyline book series.
