Troy prepares for 4th of July Fireworks Celebration

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — The skies over Troy are set to ignite with dazzling colors and thunderous booms Tuesday during this year’s 4th of July Fireworks Celebration.

Each year, the Troy Parks and Recreation Department and the City of Troy host a fireworks celebration.

Over 10,000 people are expected to be at this year’s show. According to Parks and Rec Director Dan Smith, some of the best spots to watch the fireworks can be found on TROY’s campus.

“There’s not a bad bad seat in the house but if you park near the stadium and sit on the practice field or the Track and Field track,” Smith suggested.

No matter where guests choose to watch the show, Smith urges people to remain mindful and respectful of TROY’s grounds.

“Clean up after yourself,” Smith said. “Do not leave any litter or trash.”

This year’s fireworks display will be held Tuesday, July 4th at 8 p.m. inside Veterans Memorial Stadium.
