TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Saturday Trojan fans got the opportunity to attend Fan Day, which is a chance for supporters to get autographed team posters for a wide range of sports .
“We’re role models to a lot of these kids in the community and it’s just giving them hope and just showing them that they can be someone in life,” said Wide Receiver Chris Lewis.
If that wasn’t enough, fans could get their hands on some free food in the form of free hot dogs and meet TROY’s beloved Mascot, T-Roy.
Fan Day was not the only event that Trojan Athletics planned for Saturday afternoon. Later that evening, this year’s Football Kickoff Party was held that featured events such as a silent auction and a $10,000 grand prize.
“We have our annual Football Kickoff Party,” said Executive Associate Director of Athletics Kyle George. “It’s a chance for our fans to come out, enjoy a great evening, get ready to kick off the upcoming football season. It all financially supports our football program so the funds raised either from ticket sales or from the silent auction items will go back to benefit the football program to give them the championship resources they need.”
