TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — The Troy University Activities Council (UAC) hosted a paint night for students to create colorful art.

Welcome Week at TROY was in full swing as students showed off their artistic talent with TROY’s Paint Night.

“Tonight’s event is Paint Night or you can tie die shirts,” said Welcome Week committee member Rose Hilarion. “We have some paint, all the supplies they need like the paints, pencils and they just got to bring their friends and hang out. Just be interactive, finding ways to meet new students on campus.”

Paint Night was hosted by TROY’s UAC and was one of many events Welcome Week had to offer. Students painted many kinds of art ranging from TROY-themed paintings to animal portraits some would call purr-fect.

“I came here because I’m interested in art,” said freshman Addison Staude. “I’m a biomedical student so I didn’t think I could participate in art stuff but coming to this event it shows that I can get involved.”
