TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Troy Miracle League<\/a> is back in action for its 2026 season, but this time with a new field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We worked for about two years trying to raise enough funds, and the city helped come in,” said president of the Troy Miracle League Sheila Compton. “But before we were ever able to play on it, the March 15th tornado came in, and it ripped up our brand new field.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new field features a lower-grade turf, which increases durability and accessibility for players on wheels. It is also being used to host games for the Braves and Angels teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s really cool to me because I get to support people who can’t really do everything I do,” said Troy football player Jeremiah Roux. “So when I play it is more for the kids.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A mutual connection was made between Miracle League player Stone and Roux that made a lasting impression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“He’s a great kid and he is kind of fast, so we were running with him,” Roux said. “He loved the music and loves to dance, so he’s my type of guy.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those connections were also made with the sisters of the Alpha Omicron Pi (AOII).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s not just about serving with people on campus but in our community too, and these are people who really deserve our support,” said AOII Vice President of Community Relations Julianna Williams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Miracle League exists to allow players to get active and have fun but also have a place where they can grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Miracle League is very, very amazing,” said Miracle League player Jalen Moultry. “I mean, ever since I enjoyed it, it’s like I’ve grown more and more confident every time.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I play ball with my friends,” said Miracle League player Kendyll Eaton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A lot of us are out here, and we thought we would never be able to play ball,” said Miracle League player Daniel Jackson. “We couldn’t because we are handicapped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Then they came up with Miracle League. God supplied the Miracle League for us.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Troy Miracle League will be holding four more games every Monday until May 18th at the Troy Parks and Rec Miracle League field.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
