(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernclassicfood.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Southern Classic Foods<\/a>, a division of Trillium Food Group, announced manufacturing growth and new jobs coming to the city of Brundidge Thursday morning.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trillium Foods CEO Ash Reddy&nbsp;acquired&nbsp;the company through a partnership with Chuck Calloway, CEO of the organization.&nbsp;The two spoke at Brundidge City Hall, announcing new equipment and expanded production aimed at reaching more customers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInside our building, we\u2019ve added a manufacturing room&nbsp;to make new products,\u201d Caraway said.&nbsp;\u201cIt\u2019s&nbsp;an investment,&nbsp;it\u2019s&nbsp;several hundred thousand dollars.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2026\/04\/27\/troy-regional-named-top-100-rural-hospital-for-second-year-in-a-row\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>LOCAL NEWS: Troy Regional named Top 100 Rural Hospital for second year in a row<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both Caraway and explained how the growth will impact the economy over the next year in Brundidge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"972\" height=\"690\" data-id=\"10177\" src=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-12-101422-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10177\" srcset=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-12-101422-1.png 972w, https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-12-101422-1-300x213.png 300w, https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-12-101422-1-768x545.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 972px) 100vw, 972px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"975\" height=\"699\" data-id=\"10176\" src=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-12-101430-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-12-101430-1.png 975w, https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-12-101430-1-300x215.png 300w, https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/05\/Screenshot-2026-05-12-101430-1-768x551.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 975px) 100vw, 975px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe&nbsp;believe&nbsp;this project,&nbsp;in the first year, will create&nbsp;between&nbsp;82&nbsp;and&nbsp;100&nbsp;jobs&nbsp;here in&nbsp;Brundidge,\u201d Caraway said. \u201cWe hope to grow it beyond&nbsp;that, but that\u2019s&nbsp;what this first opportunity with expansion will entail.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor the community, I think it\u2019s going to mean a substantial amount of money being reinvested in the site&nbsp;to become one of the larger ones in the country,\u201d Reddy said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Caraway, Southern Classic Foods currently has more than 300 active formulas and plans to keep expanding its product line&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe wouldn\u2019t be investing twelve to fourteen million dollars if we weren\u2019t invested in the future, more than doubling in the next two years,\u201d Caraway said. \u201cWe\u2019ll&nbsp;be&nbsp;making&nbsp;flavored syrups and wing sauces.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ll&nbsp;be tasting products made in Brundidge in a lot of restaurants&nbsp;all across&nbsp;the country.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caraway said&nbsp;the company currently produces around&nbsp;125 million&nbsp;pounds&nbsp;of food each year and expects that number to grow with the new manufacturing additions.&nbsp;Reddy also believes&nbsp;the expansion is expected to create more than two-hundred jobs in Brundidge over the next three to five years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TROY, Ala.
