TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Ever since Troy won\u00a0its\u00a0last baseball game in Gainesville and\u00a0entered the\u00a0NCAA Super Regional, excitement in town has been growing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’ve\u00a0been here going on fifteen\u00a0years\u00a0and I\u00a0haven\u2019t\u00a0seen anything like this before, so\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0honestly super exciting to see,” said Dustin McFarland, Manager at Pawn Express.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“People are super ecstatic about Troy hosting their very first super regional ever, so that alone has everybody excited,” said Ethan Barnes, Pastry Chef at BSweet Bakery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes this series so exciting?\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0one that\u00a0Troy has never\u00a0been a part of before. Mayor Jason Reeves said he\u00a0understands just how important this game is.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It\u2019s\u00a0hard to put it into perspective because\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0had other opportunities at\u00a0different levels,” Reeves told TrojanVision. “But\u00a0this is the ultimate level of competition. With the NCAA and being at the precipice of the college world series,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0historic for the school, the community and everyone affiliated with Troy University.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s\u00a0why Reeves is calling on the community\u00a0to\u00a0show its support. Downtown Troy is one of the biggest places where it has grown.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It\u2019s just an outward sign of how inwardly excited everyone is and wants to show their support.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Show their support they will be, as attendance for the games is expected to be record-breaking.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
