{"id":1279,"date":"2021-06-23T15:42:17","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T15:42:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/?p=1279"},"modified":"2021-10-26T16:43:55","modified_gmt":"2021-10-26T16:43:55","slug":"trojan-soccer-field-gets-some-off-season-improvements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2021\/06\/23\/trojan-soccer-field-gets-some-off-season-improvements\/","title":{"rendered":"Trojan Soccer field gets some off-season improvements."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/troy.edu\">Troy University<\/a> Soccer team is getting a upgrade to their playing surface this summer.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Field renovations are underway for the <a href=\"https:\/\/troytrojans.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\">Trojan Soccer team<\/a>, with improvements being made to the drainage system and sprinkler system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;In early to mid-spring we were given the opportunity to get basically a brand new field,&#8221; says <a href=\"https:\/\/troytrojans.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/coaches\/ged-o-connor\/1540\">Head Soccer Coach Ged O&#8217;Connor<\/a>. &#8220;Brand new drainage, a brand new sprinkler system which is way more in-depth and comprehensive than the previous system so it&#8217;s going to allow the girls to have an opportunity to play on what we think is going to be one of, if not the best, field in the conference.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Problems with the old drainage system meant the team was not able to have a full field training session up to three days after rain.
