The Trojan Men’s Basketball team defeated the South Alabama Jaguars Saturday in Trojan Arena. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 77-68 win over the Jaguars came after TROY lost to their in-state rival two days earlier in Mobile <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We came into this game with a chip on our shoulders especially being that we saw them couple days ago in a hostile environment,” says Guard Kieffer Punter. “So we already knew they had to come back to Trojan Arena and we were ready.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
South Alabama took their largest lead of the game with 10:25 left in the half. From there the Trojans responded with a 12-1 run with freshman Duke Miles scoring eight of those points. Miles also led the team in scoring with 22 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“He did it all,” says Head Coach Scott Cross. “He hit shots. He hit threes. He was able to drive the basket, drop it off to his teammates, get a lot of assists. He played fantastic defense. I mean he just does it all. He’s an all-around guy that doesn’t have really any flaws in his basketball game.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
