{"id":2662,"date":"2022-03-14T15:16:49","date_gmt":"2022-03-14T15:16:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/?p=2662"},"modified":"2022-03-14T15:16:52","modified_gmt":"2022-03-14T15:16:52","slug":"troy-university-celebrates-international-womens-day-through-eyes-mind-and-music","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2022\/03\/14\/troy-university-celebrates-international-womens-day-through-eyes-mind-and-music\/","title":{"rendered":"Troy University celebrates International Women&#8217;s Day through &#8220;Eyes, Mind and Music.&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/troy.edu\">Troy University<\/a> celebrated International Women&#8217;s Day with an event that highlighted the arts and the many cultures represented on campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Troy University&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.troy.edu\/academics\/colleges-schools\/college-communication-fine-arts\/\">College of Communication and Fine Arts<\/a> brought an evening of music, poetry and art to the International Arts Center with &#8220;Eyes, Mind and Music: An Artistic Celebration of Women.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The audience was treated to an evening of music, poetry and art provided by female Troy University professors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Today is International Women&#8217;s Day and it&#8217;s important that we mark the occasion,&#8221; says Performer and English Professor Priya Menon.  &#8220;Especially at Troy University because we celebrate not just women but also international students here. So it&#8217;s only fitting that we celebrate a day like International Women&#8217;s Day.
