Troy University students practiced the traditional meditation technique of qigong as part of the week-long International Education Week celebration on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The qigong meditation class was one of many international theme physical activity events scheduled each night in Janice Hawkins Park Amphitheater. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With exams right around the corner, organizers felt that the meditation technique might help students relax before they take their finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I am certain tonight that for all of the students this is the first time for them to try qigong,” said International Student Advisor Kathleen Freed. “With exams coming up, I think this is a great way to get some exercise, to do something that’s meditative and to learn about a new culture.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
