While it usually the coaches and the players who get all of the glory on game days there is a group behind the scenes that keep things running smoothly for the team\u2026 graduate assistants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The graduate assistant are students who work throughout the week to help coaches and player prepare for each week’s game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A G.A., as they are often called, usually work long hours and don’t get any additional pay for the work they do. Oftentimes they work for a team for the love of the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The love of football, seeing the impact that coaches that I had growing up had on me was a big part of it,” says TROY Football Graduate Assistant Jordan McDaniel on why he got involved with student coaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
