(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Days before TROY&#8217;s Spring Break, Troy University&#8217;s Police Department (TUPD) partnered up with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimwhaleytires.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jim Whaley Tires<\/a> to provide free vehicle checks for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We like to thank our partners, Jim Whaley, for coming out,&#8221; said Patrol Officer Peyton Thomas. &#8220;We&#8217;re just wanting to check the oil, air pressure, provide some safety tips for our students before they hit the vote for Spring Break.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team at Jim Whaley checked car engines, oil, and tire pressure for those who stopped by. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Check your tires, check your air pressure, just the normal stuff really,&#8221; said Jim Whaley technician Chase Jenks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TUPD provided snacks, drinks, and safety tips to keep cool and safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Drive safe, buckle your seat belt, drive speed limit, never go anywhere alone,&#8221; Thomas suggested. &#8220;I always have a friend, especially in locations that you&#8217;re not familiar with.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both TUPD and Jim Whaley Tires urged everyone going on Spring Break to keep safe on the road while having fun in the sun Jameson Fowler.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TROY, Ala.
