TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 A Troy University<\/a> graduate is bringing his photography expertise to the city of Troy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been over a year since TROY graduate Jonas Shaw, also known as 7 Shots<\/a>, decided to expand his photography business, Studio 7 Troy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I was like, man, I need a studio because I was shooting inside of my living room and I needed some more space,” Shaw said. “That just wasn’t enough.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaw says he didn’t come to TROY for photography but has always loved capturing people’s special moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I only got pulled into photography just by association,” Shaw explained. “A TROY graduate, she asked me to film her wedding. I didn’t own a camera yet but she saw the work that I did off of my iPhone. She was just like, ‘I like the way you edit and do your thing.’ After a while I got into editing videos.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most people leave TROY after graduation, but not Shaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Post-college they’re like, ‘Where are you going next’,” Shaw told TrojanVision. “I didn’t have to move at all because my most of my clientele were college students. I didn’t really have a reason to leave.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you ever seen a dollar wall? Shaw says he got the idea from a restaurant that leaves inspiring messages or scriptures on the wall. He wants to fill his entire wall with dollars from customers, photographers, and fellow art lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is what makes me happy,” Shaw said. “I just like designing stuff and creating things and altering what people see.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
