(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 After months of enthusiastic engagement and hard work, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.troy.edu\/applications-admissions\/orientation\/troy-orientation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IMPACT 2023<\/a> has finally come to an end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this year&#8217;s orientation now over, one IMPACT leader is reflecting on her memories from over the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It&#8217;s a little bittersweet,&#8221; IMPACT leader Macy Kate Owens said. &#8220;Of course we&#8217;re all exhausted but at the same time it&#8217;s sad. We&#8217;ve had so many happy memories together this summer. We&#8217;re all sad to go but, at the same time, I know we&#8217;re also all ready to rest and have just some quiet time before we start back at school.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each summer, IMPACT leaders work to help new students transition into Troy University&#8217;s culture and academic life. According to Owens, despite the hard work, the summer&#8217;s success made IMPACT a rewarding experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I really have just grown so much as a person. I&#8217;ve gained so many new friendships and I&#8217;ve gotten to make a lot of connections with the students as well as a bunch of people in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.troy.edu\/applications-admissions\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Office of Admissions<\/a>. The relationships I&#8217;ve been able to build has been the most rewarding part.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite minor challenges, Owens said she is grateful to TROY for allowing her to create memorable experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We&#8217;ve all gotten super close and we&#8217;ve gotten to make really good connections with the students. It&#8217;s really just been the best opportunity. I&#8217;m so thankful I&#8217;ve had it.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now that IMPACT is over, Troy University is preparing for the upcoming fall semester. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.troy.edu\/academics\/calendar.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fall classes<\/a> begin Wednesday, Aug. 16.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TROY, Ala.
