TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) \u2014 As part of their Philanthropy Week, TROY’s Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi) sorority held a ‘Pie a Pi’ event on the John Lewis Quad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The money raised will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities,<\/a> which provides housing for families with children in the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “The families will be housed in the Ronald McDonald House to stay close to the kid while they are in the hospital because staying in a hotel for months on end can get really expensive,” said ADPi’s Vice President of Event Management Zoe August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Other events have been planned along with Pie-a-Pi to raise money. Events include Spirit Nights at local businesses and a week-long bake sale at Trojan Center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “Our sisters made homemade goodies,” August explained. “We have brookies, cupcakes, different things like that.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to August, Philanthropy Week is a great way for students to come together for a good cause no matter what organization they are a part of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “That’s something special about TROY. Every organization comes together and supports one philanthropy.
