(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 TROY&#8217;s Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi) hosted a lip sync battle for its Philanthropy Week where sororities and fraternities could show off their skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAll the participants are from each sorority and fraternity here at Troy University,\u201d said ADPi sister Brooklynn Bailey. \u201cIt\u2019s just a friendly competition to help raise money for our philanthropy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event served as a fundraiser for ADPi to raise money for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmhca.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ronald McDonald House Charities<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRonald McDonald House Charities is a place where families can stay when they have sick children in the hospital,\u201d Bailey said. \u201cIt gives them that home away from home feeling and helps them save money so they\u2019re not continuously driving back and forth between their house and the hospital or staying at a hotel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sisters of ADPi say that it is important to extend a helping hand to those in need.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe feel it\u2019s really important to make sure that children are taken care of and we focus so much on that,&#8221; Bailey explained. &#8220;What I personally love about the Ronald McDonald House Charities is that we get to personally help these families. They aren\u2019t able to be with their children a lot so it\u2019s really nice to help take care of financial problems and things that they might have so they can focus on their child instead of worrying about things like that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ADPi still has a few more events to come as it wrap up its Philanthropy Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is our main event, but we still have some spirit nights going on this week,\u201d Bailey said. \u201cWe have one tomorrow at Echo and another one on Saturday at Confetti Crate.
