(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Students invited their parents and family to Troy University&#8217;s Parents &amp; Family Weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family members got access to a band party, a pre-game tailgate and the football game against James Madison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Parents Weekend is an opportunity for parents to come onto campus and be together,&#8221; said Meredith Welch, Director of Annual Giving and Special Projects. &#8220;See a little bit more about TROY and what we are as a TROY family. Each year we build on the event a little bit and we take things from the past year to make better for the next year.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&#8217;s Band Party was held in the Trojan Center Ballrooms Friday night due to the rain. Families listened to the band throughout the night and enjoyed refreshments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Three years ago we added the Friday night event to go along with the Saturday tailgate,&#8221; Welch explained. &#8220;We just look forward to visiting with everyone.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next weekend TROY will hold its Fall Trojan Day where high school students get to explore Troy University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TROY, Ala.
