(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Students were ushered into the Fall season during the University Activities Council&#8217;s (UAC) Oktoberfest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although no beer was involved, attendees still got into the holiday spirit with food, games, music and inflatables. The event drew a large crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It&#8217;s a really good vibe, really a lot of fun,&#8221; said UAC President Derrick Nobles. &#8220;I&#8217;m glad a lot of people came so far.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although there were many activities to take part in at the celebration, many students had a very simple reason for going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I heard there was free food,&#8221; said freshman Bella Taylor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the large number of festivalgoers, the Quad provided a large open and comfortable place to dance, play games and socialize with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It&#8217;s pretty cool,&#8221; Taylor said. &#8220;I like that it&#8217;s dark. I like that there was food. I like the music.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The UAC has more events planned for later in the month that students are invited to check out. One of them will be Halloween-themed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We also have a haunted house that&#8217;s planned at the end of the month,&#8221; Nobles told TrojanVision. &#8220;Also pumpkin painting. We also having a possible scary movement night.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UAC plans to post signs around the campus to remind students of upcoming events.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TROY, Ala.
