TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Troy University is preparing to welcome this year’s Hall-Waters Prize<\/a> recipient: author Patricia Foster<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foster is professor emerita at the University of Iowa\u2019s MFA Program, where she has taught for more than 25 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foster’s works include \u201cWritten in the Sky,\u201d \u201cGirl from Soldier Creek,\u201d the essay collection \u201cJust Beneath My Skin,\u201d and the memoir \u201cAll the Lost Girls: Confessions of a Southern Daughter.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

will read selections from her most recent memoir, \u201cWritten in the Sky: Lessons of a Southern Daughter\u201d (2023), on April 12 at 9:30 a.m. in Janice Hawkins Cultural Arts Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
