(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Tuesday night, audience members were treated to musical numbers performed by Dr. Hui Ting Yang and Dr. Benjamin Crook of the John M. Long School of Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It was amazing,&#8221; said student Bob Rader. &#8220;I love listening to Dr. Yang play. I&#8217;ve never heard Dr. Crook play. I did not know he could play piano like that.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2024\/04\/02\/symphony-band-performs-alongside-world-renowned-boston-brass\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>KEEP READING:<\/strong> Symphony Band performs alongside world-renowned Boston Brass<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yang told TrojanVision that she hopes students were inspired to hone their craft after this performance and to seek the &#8220;meaning and story behind every note.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday&#8217;s duet was also one of Crooks&#8217; first performances at TROY since he joined the staff in Aug. 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We love it here, the small town, the beautiful university,&#8221; Crook said. &#8220;We hope to contribute to helping it feel like home for other people.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TROY, Ala.
