TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Students came face-to-face with their potential future employers during the Hall School of Journalism and Communication<\/a>‘s (HSJC) recent Career Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fair brought students and representatives from several location television and radio stations as well as public relations organizations. Organizations included WSFA<\/a>, WCOV-TV<\/a>, WKRG<\/a>, WRBL<\/a>, and Power South Energy Cooperative<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Today’s purpose is to allow students the opportunity to network with employers and look to acquire an internship,” said Dr. Ava Tabb, lecturer of journalism at Troy University. “And perhaps for our seniors to acquire an entry level positions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experience is something that is held in high regard by employers. Experience can be found on Troy University’s campus via TROY TrojanVision News<\/a>, The Tropolitan<\/a> and the Paladium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That experience is what employers like Mark Bunting, General Manager of WSFA, said they look for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“If I got a TROY graduate that is applying for a job, nine times out of ten we are looking at them a lot more than others,” Bunting explained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
