(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 During Alabama&#8217;s Boys State rising high school seniors are given the opportunity to hone their skills and an activity of their choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delegates from across the state participate in small groups that include industry professionals who provide, what some say are, invaluable skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2024\/06\/17\/high-school-delegates-learn-about-government-during-boys-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>RELATED NEWS: What is Alabama Boys State? TrojanVision explains<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Public speaking ability and being able to speak in front of huge crowd, learn more about how the government works, and political systems,&#8221; said delegate Armani Gonzalez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;How to become resilient and how to push through trials,&#8221; said fellow delegate John Barnett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delegates chose from a variety of interests including band, theatre and academic bowl. Each activity potentially opens the door for future opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;When I go back to my school I can show others what I learned through music and I can compete in other competitions that my school and my county has with the knowledge that I know now,&#8221; Barnett explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2024\/06\/17\/boys-state-delegates-undergo-drunk-driving-simulation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>CHECK IT OUT: Boys State delegates undergo drunk driving simulation<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delegates will be given the opportunity to display what they have learned during an award ceremony Friday night.
