(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Students in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.troy.edu\/academics\/colleges-schools\/education\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">College of Education<\/a> met potential new employers thanks to the Education Career Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have several school systems from Alabama and also other states that are represented here,&#8221; said Arminda McKee, the Assistant Director of Troy University&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.troy.edu\/academics\/academic-resources\/center-student-success\/career-services\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Career Services<\/a>. &#8220;So, yes, we are trying to get them prepared and get jobs so when they graduate they will go right into a position&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students were able to practice certain skills needed in the workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Work how to meet and greet, network, display professionalism.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2024\/09\/24\/student-made-store-offers-student-entrepreneurs-storefront-space\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>STUDENT NEWS:<\/strong> Student-Made Store offers student entrepreneurs storefront space<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to McKee, students will soon have the opportunity to talk to employers at the All Majors Career Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As this one is for our education majors, the [next] event is for all of our students.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who plan to attend the <a href=\"https:\/\/aaceal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/ALL-MAJORS-CAREER-FAIR-EMPLOYERS-Fall-2024.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">All Majors Career Fair<\/a> will need to bring a few things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Prepare their elevator pitches so when they do get to talk to these employers, they have a general way to introduce themselves and to explain their majors and their goals. Also, bring your resumes.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McKee hopes all of these opportunities will help students reach their career goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The All Majors Career Fair will be on Tuesday, Oct.1st.
