TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Although Troy football has been receiving recognition for its successful weekend, it also has been noting a few key concepts from one of the running backs who were in action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Troy football\u2019s first win of the 2024 season <\/a>against FAMU, also came Troy\u2019s longest run of the season. running back Damien Taylor<\/a> scored a 40-yard touchdown run on Troy\u2019s opening drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is probably our first game where, I want to say, all of us executed to the best of our abilities,” Taylor said. “Offensive wise, we played a great game as well as the defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“So, it’s our first time really binding together and as you can see, we had a solution and the success we wanted.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taylor\u2019s touchdown also marked Troy\u2019s first score this season on an opening drive. By the end of the night, number 3 on the field finished the game with 109 rushing yards on 15 carries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
