(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Wednesday the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.troy.edu\/student-life-resources\/groups-organizations\/student-government-association\/troy-sga\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student Government Association<\/a> (SGA) hosted a pep rally in honor of both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalbreastcancer.org\/breast-cancer-awareness-month\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Breast Cancer Awareness Month<\/a> and the Troy vs Texas State game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;This event was a pep rally to cheer on our Trojans,&#8221; said Bella Brothers, SGA Chairwoman of Spirit and Traditions. &#8220;We really wanted to do something creative where we did bringing light to breast cancer awareness. We wanted everyone to wear neon and wear pink to show support in something a lot of people face, that is really hard and emotional.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2024\/10\/01\/trio-holds-bowling-night-for-students\/\"><strong>OTHER NEWS:<\/strong> Trio holds bowling night for students<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The theme was &#8220;Bringing Light to Breast Cancer,&#8221; which was meant to show support for people who are currently fighting cancer, those who have passed from it and those who are in remission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We also support things that are greater than ourselves and by having this pep rally, we brought awareness, and showed that we do care things like breast cancer,&#8221; Brothers explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SGA is now preparing for its annual Fall Blood Drive, which will be held Oct. 7th and 8th on Troy&#8217;s campus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TROY, Ala.
