(<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/troytrojanvisionstudents\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/troytrojans.com\/sports\/football\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Troy<\/a> vs <a href=\"https:\/\/usajaguars.com\/sports\/football\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">South Alabama<\/a> is set to play in real life soon, but what happens when we simulate the Battle for the Belt virtually?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to EA Sports College Football 25, the Jaguars of South Alabama will win in a close game, 17-14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Troy got up early, with two touchdowns in the first half to lead the game 14-0. South Alabama could only muster three points, as the Trojan defense played stiff the first half. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2024\/10\/14\/troy-baseball-ranks-no-65-on-d1baseballs-top-100-programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION SPORTS: TROY Baseball ranks no. 65 on D1Baseball\u2019s Top 100 Programs<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">14 more points would be scored in the second half, but it was all by the Jaguars, including a game-winning field goal to end the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Player of the Game went to <a href=\"https:\/\/usajaguars.com\/sports\/football\/roster\/gio-lopez\/11074\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gio Lopez<\/a>, who threw the only touchdown for South Alabama. <a href=\"https:\/\/troytrojans.com\/sports\/football\/roster\/goose-crowder\/10902\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Goose Crowder<\/a> also had a touchdown pass of his own, but saw a costly interception late in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was a virtual simulation, of course. Troy and South Alabama will soon play in real life, and, hopefully, the Trojans will stay the reigning, defending, undisputed Battle for the Belt Champions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. inside Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TROY, Ala.
