TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014\u00a0Local student-led band Speak Easy is in the process of recording its debut project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band is made up of four Troy University students, bassist Tate MacNicol, guitarist Nate Braisted, lead singer Jack Anderson and drummer Cole Brown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently the group used Troy University\u2019s recording studio and requested the help of music industry major Tahj Jordan to bring their latest musical vision to life. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“All you need to use the studio is you need someone to mix who is currently taking an audio class so I reached out to Tahj, and here we are,” \u00a0MacNicol\u00a0explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne thing you learned about music industry people, is a lot of them their main thing is music, but they have so many other skills that they can branch out to at any given time,” Jordan said. “I definitely wanted to be one of those people I can be in front of mic, but also behind it, giving direction and doing the technical side of things.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TrojanVision asked Speak Easy members about when they heard their music in a professional-level setting for the first time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh dude, that was that was a next level experience,\u201d\u00a0Braisted, the guitarist, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was just some thing that\u00a0 was like ya know, this is this is us. This is what we sound like,” \u00a0MacNicol\u00a0said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s something I\u2019ll ever forget when I heard those lyrics coming through with a full band,” Anderson said. “I just couldn\u2019t help but think about when like I sat in the backseat of my car, putting my pin to paper writing that song.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
