TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 After a hard-fought match Thursday night, Troy Soccer<\/a> ended its season with a draw against Arkansas State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe get a shutout, but we don\u2019t get a win, but we don\u2019t get a loss,\u201d said head coach Stuart Gore<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s not a win but it isn\u2019t a loss.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday night also marked the last game on the pitch for Trojan seniors, one of those seniors being Delaney Wells<\/a> who will stay in Troy as an assistant coach.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe end with Delaney who came with me from my last school who I\u2019ve coached for four years,\u201d said Gore. \u201cDelaney\u2019s like a daughter to me and I\u2019m so glad she\u2019s going to become an assistant coach here.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another Trojan set to become an assistant coach is Riley Rojahn<\/a> who spent her entire collegiate career in Troy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRiley\u2019s been through it all here,\u201d said Gore. \u201cWe\u2019re the fourth set of coaching staff that she\u2019s had. I\u2019m really happy that she\u2019s going to come back and be on the coaching staff next year.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Trojans’ 2024 campaign was certainly not an ideal one as the team faced many issues due to injuries.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cInjuries upon injuries upon injuries,\u201d said Gore. \u201cIf it happened to a team it happened to us. We\u2019d get somebody fit and somebody else would go down and we\u2019d get another person fit and two would go down.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the fall season is over, the Trojans will certainly not take the off-season for granted.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
