TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Troy Volleyball<\/a> is set to finish its regular season at home this week after a season filled with ups and downs. One of the main ups of the season is senior Tori Hester<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This season, Trojan volleyball has seen records shattered by Hester. Hester has set the record for Troy’s all-time kills and all-time points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I have been working hard, and I’ve dreamed of doing college volleyball, DI volleyball, so it’s a really good accomplishment, and I’m very proud to have that. I wouldn’t be able to do it without my team obviously but it is cool.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hester’s love of volleyball goes back to her childhood and growing up in a sports family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HESTER COVERAGE: Tori Hester starts season off strong, wins Sun Belt award<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I remember growing up my mom was a volleyball coach so I was always around it. Then my sister started playing and I was the little girl following everyone around on my sister’s team. My dad also played sports, so I have just been around it my whole life.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hester credits her father with always telling her to play hard and have fun, which is the mindset she brings to every match. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking to the future, Hester plans to finish out the season strong and complete her master’s degree in communication.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
