TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Thursday Night, Troy University hosted its first-ever Twilight Tour that allowed prospective students and their families to see campus after sunset.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTwilight Tours are a little bit different just in the timing that we offer them,\u201d said Gus McKenzie, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services. \u201cGiving families more opportunities to see campus that may work for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe always jokingly say that there\u2019s nothing like a Troy sunset so letting them see our beautiful campus as the sun sets was just a cool opportunity.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the tour, participants toured classrooms in John Robert Lewis Hall, Patterson Hall, Hawkins Hall and Smith Hall. They also saw the Trojan Center, Trojan Fitness Wellness Center, the dining hall, Trojan Village 200 and Rushing Hall.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe tour was really great,\u201d said Lindsay Hernandez, a senior at Gulf Shores High School in Gulf Shores, Alabama, who plans on attending Troy University in the fall of 2025. \u201cThey took us through dining halls, the gym, and everything, so I\u2019d say it went pretty well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although many prospective students choose to attend Troy University based on their major, scholarships also play a major role in prospective students’ decisions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI heard about Troy\u2019s great broadcast journalism program so that\u2019s one of the main reasons that I\u2019m here,\u201d said Hernandez. \u201cThey also have pretty great scholarships.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Troy University encourages all prospective students to tour campus. The admissions office offers weekday tours and weekend tours as well as the brand-new Twilight Tours.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI definitely encourage students to come and take a campus tour,\u201d said McKenzie. \u201cWhether it\u2019s a regular daily tour, a Saturday tour, or one of these twilight tours, just to see what we offer in terms of programs and amenities on campus.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
