TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Monday Night, Troy University’s 101 E.L.I.T.E Men<\/a> helped college students learn how to understand financial literacy and management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preston Pritchett, who is also a Troy lecturer and a program leader for the Sorrell 360 Center for Professional Life<\/a>, spoke about the healthy way to use your credit and manage it effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I took from this event basically, learning that credit is important not to overuse it, but it’s there to help at times,” said student Jamarien Vickers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some college students may struggle to make ends meet and purchase day-to-day necessities. That’s why attendees wanted to get financial guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s very important because having to budget for books, tuition, if you stay off-campus, rent and utilities things of that nature it’s a lot that plays into it,” said student Jadon Kenebrew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It was good for me, definitely being a Freshman and not knowing a lot about financial and my minor is actually Financial Business so that will go a long way,” said Trey Brown<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marked 101 E.L.I.T.E Men’s final information-based event of the semester. The organization will kick start the spring semester with a gala with food and live music. Details are expected to be released soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
