To see this community of people gather and help raise money for the child advocacy center truly makes my heart happy. My dream is to work at the child advocacy center back home in panama city, so to see that happen here in troy really means a lot to me.”

With over 300 people in attendance, Kappa Delta raised $35,000 for the Child Advocacy Center, surpassing its set goal of $33,000. 80% of the money that Kappa Delta raised will go toward helping children that live in Troy.

COMMUNITY COVERAGE: Here’s how you can help Pike County Tornado victims

“All of the Child Advocacy Center’s services are free,” said Pike Regional Executive Director, Kaylee Green. “The money that they raised helps us continue to make sure our services continue to remain free. I’ve definitely walked in the past, but in the most recent 5K’s I’ve done I haven’t walked. Gaining that mental endurance has been really good for me.
