TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 While Troy Women\u2019s Basketball<\/a> returned as runner-up in the WNIT, a few Trojans received additional honorable recognitions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the WNIT Championship matchup, Zay Dyer<\/a> was honored as a member of the WNIT All-Tournament team with 16.6 points per game.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt feels good to be recognized in a national tournament,\u201d Dyer said. \u201cIt’s not the NCAA tournament, but it’s still very prestigious knowing that I was one of the ones recognized out of those many schools. Honor to God. I thank Him, and I’m grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forward had a 47.3 field goal percentage, 11 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. Dyer also made history during the 2024-2025 season, scoring 395 rebounds. This is the most rebounds ever made in Troy program history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI’m just excited to see what comes next,\u201d Dyer told TrojanVision. \u201cI know that I’m gonna work hard to break my own records and that I wanna work hard to be even more noticed to build my platform even more.\u00a0I’m proud of myself. To see how far I’ve come since my first year here and then to where I am right now, I think I’ve definitely put in a lot of hard work and it’s come into fruition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving forward, #5 on the court plans to focus on what\u2019s to come for her future as the 2025-2026 season will be her last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI’m proud of everyone,\u201d Dyer said. \u201cI’m proud of all of my teammates, knowing that we did make it that far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKnowing that our season didn’t end after the Sunbelt tournament, we kept playing. We were literally one of the last two like three or four teams to be playing up until April. So, I think that in itself is an accomplishment and I am proud of everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her free time, Dyer likes to take walks around campus and focus on school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
