(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Troy University&#8217;s nursing department has a new podcast called &#8220;The Rounds.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The podcast will serve as a way to reach perspective students and spread more information about the profession of nursing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We wanted to really target our nursing students or students that are interested in nursing before they get to college,&#8221; said communications coordinator for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.troy.edu\/academics\/colleges-schools\/health-human-services\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">College of Health Sciences<\/a>, Kait Nesbit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The podcast will feature Nesbit and nursing student Brooke Moseley. It will also include guests who practice nursing in various capacities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I kind of was sitting with my co-host one day and was discussing it with my husband who is a nurse and just thought, this is a great setup,&#8221; Nesbit said. &#8220;He&#8217;s an expert in his field. This person sitting next to me is offering advice and asking questions I don&#8217;t even know the answers to or I don&#8217;t even understand the question fully.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2025\/04\/04\/new-nursing-building-aims-to-better-prepare-health-sciences-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>NEWS FOR YOU: New nursing building aims to better prepare health sciences students<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The podcast is meant to help people learn more about what it means to be a nursing student and how Troy&#8217;s program can help prepare them for the career that they are going into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We are going to be talking mostly about their experience as a nursing student but also how that transitions into their everyday practice and what they&#8217;re experiencing in their career and what opportunities they see in their career,&#8221; Nesbit explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A new episode of &#8220;The Rounds&#8221; will be available every month and can be found wherever you <a href=\"https:\/\/therounds.podbean.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">listen to podcasts<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TROY, Ala.
