TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Students rushing to classes or grabbing a bite to eat got a chance to slow down and play with some puppies during Welcome Week’s Puppies ay the Tipton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event brought together students in search of stress relief and puppies from the Troy Animal Rescue Project (TARP)<\/a> that searching for love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot of students get stressed the first week of school because they’re starting to find out how hard classes are,” TARP Manager Kayleigh White explained. “This gives them a little bit of break just to play with something cute and fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to White, events like Puppies at the Tipton benefits the dogs by giving them affection and increased socialization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I brought one dog today. He’s a Chiweenie. He’s only been his foster home. That’s where he was born. He’s about five, six months old. He just came to our center so he can get more socialization. Imagine being in the same place since you’re born, five to six months, you only know the same person. It gets them socialized. That way they’re not scared when they go to their new homes.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of the dogs that Troy Animal Rescue Project brought are ready to go to a loving home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“All the dogs that we have here, including the kitten that I have, they’re all available for adoption or foster. Our adoption fee is $100, but that includes their spay, neuter, microchip, rabies. Up to date on vaccines, and whole nine yards.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
