(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Months after a local animal rescue was contacted about a hoarding house in a rural Wiregrass community, work is still being done to rescue animals from the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After months of working in blazing heat, overpowering stench, and bug-infested woods, <a href=\"https:\/\/troyanimalrescueproject.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Troy Animal Rescue Project<\/a> (TARP) officials are almost done with the hoarding house in the Jack community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;From now, what we can tell, we have less than 10 dogs on property,&#8221; TARP Manager Kayleigh White said. &#8220;That&#8217;s just a rough estimate. It could be less than that. It&#8217;s just from what we are seeing. We are going to make sure all the dogs are off property.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2025\/06\/12\/tarp-rescuing-100-animals-found-inside-unlivable-hoarding-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ORIGINAL COVERAGE: TARP rescuing 100 animals found inside \u2018unlivable hoarding house\u2019<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, that goal comes with new challenges as TARP now has over 300 dogs at its center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our biggest issue right now is dog food,&#8221; White explained. &#8220;We go through probably about give to 600 pounds of dog food a day. Just a pallet of that is about $900 to $1,000 from Tractor Supply. So imagine two to three grand a week just to buy dog food.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although monetary donations are always welcome, manpower is in equal need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We accept volunteers from 11 to three [p.m.].
