(<a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Time is running out until a new Miss Troy University is crowned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recently, young women gathered on campus to learn what it takes to compete for the title of Miss Troy University. The interest meeting gave potential contestants a chance to learn more about the prestigious competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/news\/shellhouse-becomes-52nd-miss-troy-university\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grace Shellhouse<\/a>, the current Miss Troy University, spoke about her time serving in the role. From representing the university on campus to competing for the title of Miss Alabama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;One of my favorite things about being Miss Troy is going to a convenience store or just simply Walmart and seeing older people stop me or younger people come up and they notice me as Miss Troy University,&#8221; Shellhouse said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2025\/08\/28\/sound-of-the-south-prepares-for-upcoming-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>CAMPUS NEWS: Sound of the South prepares for upcoming season<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants learn what to expect during the pageant, including the talent portion, interview questions and the importance of community service initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We want somebody that loves Troy,&#8221; said Angie Grice, Miss Troy University Co-Director. &#8220;We want great leaders, great speakers, our talented students to represent the university that we all love.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Shellhouse, there are two qualities she believes the next Miss Troy should possess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;She needs to be hard work, and she needs to be a servant at heart.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Miss Troy University pageant is about much more than a title or a crown. It&#8217;s about confidence, leadership, and celebrating the spirit of Troy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year&#8217;s Miss Troy University pageant will take place later this semester.
