TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Students waited in line in front of Malone Hall on Friday night as the building was transformed into a haunted house.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The haunted house, hosted by the Department of Art and Design<\/a>, invited students to walk through a series of four themed rooms. 35 student volunteers dressed in costumes and put on their best performances to frighten attendees.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistant Administrator of Art and Design Malory Magrath said the haunted house was entirely student-led.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe let everybody vote on the ideas we came up with,\u201d Magrath said. \u201cWe let everyone share any ideas they had. We wanted the students to have as much fun with it as they could.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Magrath, the haunted house took six weeks to plan. Magrath also says that decorating Malone Hall took over a day to decorate.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four rooms were clown, cabin, doll and morgue themed. Some said the morgue room was the scariest.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI felt like I was in a horror movie,\u201d said Aniyah Washington, an early childhood education major who is from Niceville, Florida. \u201cThey were covered in blood and all they did was smile at me.\u00a0It also felt like they were trying to grab me, it was super creepy.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo me, the morgue room is probably the scariest,\u201d Macgrath said. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of action going on right in front of your face.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emmerick Hughes, a native from Goshen, Alabama, was one of the first people to go through the haunted house. Hughes said he has been a big fan of haunted houses for quite some time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He shared what the most memorable moment of his experience was. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn one of the rooms, I saw a lady twist her head around,\u201d Hughes said. \u201cIt was great, I loved it.\u00a0It was super weird having a ton of people crawl around on the floor trying to grab me too.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After surviving the haunted house, attendees could feast on Halloween themed refreshments provided by the department of art and design. Participants also had the option to visit each room twice.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
