(<a href=\"http:\/\/today.troy.edu\/TROJANVISION\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 Students got a break from studying thanks to some four-legged friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/troyanimalrescueproject.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Troy Animal Rescue Project<\/a> partnered with the Student Government Association to bring puppies to campus, giving students a chance to relax and recharge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kayleigh White, manager of Troy animal rescue project said that having an outlet like this to destress is important for a healthy student experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re out here with SGA and we being then out just to give students a study break,&#8221; White said. &#8220;As a student that I used to be, I graduated from troy and so like, I know how stressful it is to study and stuff like that.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to White, even a few minutes with the puppies can make a difference for students juggling classes, exams, and busy schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;So just being able to play with the puppies and destress for even 20 minutes is great,&#8221; White said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/today.troy.edu\/trojanvision\/2025\/09\/25\/animal-shelter-calls-on-college-students-for-help\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MORE FROM TARP: Animal shelter calls on college students for help<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event isnt just helpful to students. It also helps the puppies get more comfortable meeting new people<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This gives puppies time to socialize and stuff with new people other that the workers they see everyday,&#8221; White said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Events like this also help the rescue connect more animals with homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The first year our adoptions started going up and this past year our adoptions went double,&#8221; White said. &#8220;So we had double the adoptions and we have about triple the transports.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the organization works to find homes for animals, students were focused on making a few furry friends.
