TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 The Palladium<\/a> is another step closer to finishing this school year’s yearbook with picture day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students and faculty gathered in the Trojan Center for this semester’s picture day, and it was now or never…or at least for this semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is the last opportunity,” said Brady Fitch<\/a>, a Palladium staff member. “We usually do this about once a semester. There are still other opportunities if you are in a club or in a group. There are group pictures or maybe some candid photos, but for your name, photo in the yearbook, this is the last opportunity.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Palladium helps keep records for Troy University, and students see the importance of continuing the yearbook even in college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It helps keep track of the history of everyone who has come through Troy, and it helps keep track of everyone who is in Greek organizations,” said Mia Dickerson, a junior. “It is more than just a footprint. It is history.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although picture day might be over, returning students will have another chance to make their mark in the fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is really simple and quick,” Fitch said. “It takes about 5 minutes to do, if even that. You just take a form, write down your name and take a picture. Then, you are in the yearbook forever. You can look at the yearbook in 40 years, and be like, ‘That’s me back in college.'”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Picture day this semester has been a great success compared to its counterpart in the fall. In the fall, there were around 120 pictures, while this semester’s picture day had over 450 students participating. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
