TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION<\/a>) \u2014 The Troy Psychology Club<\/a> held an indoor Easter egg hunt Tuesday night inside Hawkins Hall, combining candy, competition, and community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was originally planned for the outdoors, but rainy weather pushed the club to bring the festivities inside. Despite the change in location, Troy Psychology Club Vice President Geo Gardener said the excitement didn\u2019t fade. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt made me really happy to see everyone get really competitive and have a good time with the Easter egg hunt,\u201d said Gardener. \u201cWe sometimes we don\u2019t have the biggest attendance, things might get slow\u2014but with such a small-knit group, we really do have a lot of fun and get to know each other well.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n

Participants searched through the building for 150 hidden eggs; each filled with candy. The golden egg, which held the honor of bragging rights, stood out among the rest.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julia Fagan, who helped organize the event, ended up finding the coveted egg herself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was fun,\u201d Fagan said. \u201cIt had a little golden ticket in it\u2014like ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gardener says events like the Easter egg hunt are designed to showcase a more relaxed and engaging side of the club.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy goal was to show people that when you come to Psychology Club, we do have fun events,\u201d Gardener said. \u201cIt\u2019s not just lectures every week\u2014we\u2019re trying to broaden our member pool and make sure people want to come.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
