TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Do you find it hard to go to places off campus? If so, there is an alternative way to get around the city of Troy.
You see them around campus, but they actually travel around the entire city morning, noon and night. Troy University’s shuttles.
“Set stop shuttles take passengers take passengers to and from campus to their apartments,” said Herbert Reeves, Dean of Student Services. “The shopping shuttle takes riders to Walmart, Publix and the Trojan Marketplace. The Night shuttle, which is on-demand service, takes passenger home.”

Five daily shuttles operate Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shopping shuttle operates Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The night shuttle operates Monday-Friday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. You can reach the on-call service at (334) 697-0060.
“It’s very convenient because we don’t buy cars and we other transportation to other places just the shuttle takes us,” said freshman, Xintiaa Su.
Daily shuttle routes are colored-coded so riders know which shuttle to ride.
- Green: Gibb Street Apartments, Troy Villa Apartments, Foxcroft Apartments, The Pointe and The Arch
- Orange: Trojan Villages, Walmart, Troy RMC, The District, Pike Grove and The Pinnacle Place
- Red: Regions, Wells Fargo Bank, Willow Terrace, Trojan Arms, Walgreens Pharmacy, Mills Street Duplex, Village Apartments, C & N Apartments, Center Street Apartments and Oakdale Apartments
- Blue: Sorority Hill, The Edge, Trojan Commons, The Flats at 524/ Trojan, Palms/ Elm Park Trojan Crossing/ Mark, University Corners, Woodale/ Shady Oaks, Madison Oaks Apartments
- Purple: University Apartments, Highland Crossing, Trojan Arena Parking Lot (McKinely Drive)
” I feel like the shuttle comes at a timely manner. It’s never to crowed especially when you’re trying to get off campus to go to Walmart, “said freshman, MiTrell Fletcher. When you need certain things like essentials that you don’t have at the moment. I think it’s very beneficial and I think their doing a good job with it.”

Daily and night shuttles do not run on weekends, but a shopping shuttle runs on Sundays at 4 p.m to Walmart. All shuttles are closed for university holidays.
Troy University Transportation Services is open to all current students, faculty and staff for free. All riders must have a valid Troy University ID in order to use the shuttle services.
There is also transportation to the Montgomery Airport upon request at a set cost.
