“The Trojan Minute & Staging Tinyard Hill as a Radio Play” – July 2nd, 2021

As Host Marissa Lacey reports, Troy University’s Department of Theatre and Dance has found a new way to perform, for one of the largest audiences it has ever had. Tinyard Hill is airing on TROY Public Radio on-air and online!
And, we hear the newest installment of Trojan Minute. This time, political science professor Alexis Henshaw talks about her research into the role gender has on the global peacemaking process.

“Art Thesis Exhibition & The First ‘Trojan Minute'” – June 25th, 2021

As Host Marissa Lacey tells us, Troy University’s International Arts Center is featuring the work of graduating seniors, including an exhibit featuring a colorful wizard comic book.
And, we’re starting a new series called “The Trojan Minute” which gives you a glimpse at what is happening in the research labs and classrooms at Troy University. This time, we hear from Biologist and Professor Jacqueline Jones, who is working to lower the number of cancer related deaths that happen each year.

“Student Journalism Awards & Eliminating Racial Discrimination” – April 2nd, 2021

Troy University’s Hall School of Journalism has won 12 awards from the SEJC’s Best of the South Competition. The winners include two production interns with TROY Public Radio, and The Talk of TROY itself.
And Troy University’s Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery is co-sponsoring a virtual event to recognize the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
