Ensuring safety while ordering and picking up food on campus may soon be aided by a new phone app that is being tested by Troy University’s Student Government Association.
The new app is being produced by Sodexho, TROY’s dining service provider. The SGA was asked by Sodexho to test the app out before it is released for use by all students.
“It’s supposed to make the process easier. It’s going to create less hand to hand contact between swiping the cards at the machine,” said Nicole Jayjohn, Student Government President. “.It’s just going to be better overall.”
Sodexho hopes to have the app available to students by the end of the semester.
