Troy University’s IDEA Bank holds pop-up entrepreneurship workshop.

Troy University‘s IDEA Bank held a pop-up workshop for local entrepreneurs and students on Thursday morning.

The workshop gave the entrepreneurs a chance to learn how to develop their own business model.

“The purpose of the workshop was to try to help people think about their business model and also to spend time in understanding their value proposition and the customers that they service,” says workshop presenter Dr. LaKami Baker. “The main thing here is making sure that we have a valid business model and that we have an understanding of the value that we provide to customers and also understand how we create and deliver that value to our customers.”

This pop-up is one of many events the IDEA Bank has planned to help budding entrepreneurs.

“We actually will have an entrepreneurship week in September,” says IDEA Bank Director Lynne George. “September 20th to the 24th, it won’t be this exact program but it will be a different program every day that week. Everything is free and will focus on different subjects related to entrepreneurship.”
