TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — TROY’s Office of Civic Engagement hosted its annual Can Castle Contest on the Tailgate Plaza.
For the 13th year in a row, the Office of Civic Engagement challenged students to fight hunger in Pike County, one castle at a time.
“We use this as a way to get students engaged in issues in our community” said Lauren Cochran, of the Office of Civic Engagement. “The food insecurity rate in Pike County is 20% and often food insecurity impacts youth in the community more than any other demographic.”
