Troy University closes Alabama campuses due to Hurricane Isaias

 

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Troy University has announced it will close all of its Alabama campuses due to Hurricane Isaias.

The announcement was made just after 4:30 Thursday afternoon. In it, the University called for all supervisors to ensure essential campus functions remain operational.

Normal operations are expected to resume Monday.

Troy University to close at noon Friday

Due to the threat of severe weather associated with Tropical Storm Isaias, Troy University will close all Alabama campuses at noon on Friday, Oct 9.

Supervisors should ensure essential campus functions remain operational.

Normal operations are expected to resume on Monday, Oct. 12. 

The forecast remains subject to change. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to monitor local weather forecasts and remain attentive to University alerts and updates.

The University will share additional information as conditions develop.
