TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — The Universities Activity Council, Freshman Forum and TROY 140 marketing came together to make a regular annual event an even bigger celebration.
The University Activities Council (UAC) and Freshman Forum held their annual pumpkin painting event, but with the addition of some Troy birthday festivities.
“This is our annual pumpkin painting event but now its fall festival so its so much more than its been able to be in the past thanks to the TROY 140 marketing campaign,” said Josh Thompson, Freshman Forum Director. “We have a lot of good yard games and food out here, but the main thing is its pumpkin painting and just a social event for the fall here on campus.”
The UAC’s goal with this event is to bring some fall festivities to students on campus without them having to go somewhere far away.

“We just wanted to give students a chance to come out and do something fun that they, wouldnt normally get to experience,” said Mallory Morris, UAC President. “So we just, brought pumpkins to them so they could come out, do something fun and maybe meet new people.”
Students at the fall festival got free drinks and food along with the yard games. There was DJ on site, and Troy140 passed out another exclusive pin. With this event being the first of its kind, students had thoughts to share.
I actually haven’t this is my first and I’ll be honest this is a great first impression,” said Isaiah Lewis, a business major. “I ‘ve actually really enjoyed it, its been a real good event and everybody is out here having a great time.”
